110X Cement Additive
Our 110X Cement Additive is a white powder that is uniquely blended to provide hydrophobic water-resistance to any cementitious-based products. The 110X cement additive is added to concrete batches immediately before or during mixing concrete and is designed to make working with cement easier and produce far better results and is non-flammable and non-hazardous in normal use. No standard mix is waterproof and most mixes will, during the early drying out period, develop surface ‘pores’ as air bubbles escape, again causing weakness and allowing water penetration. The 110X cement additive can help to prevent any of these problems arising; making any projects you undertake using this product more successful.
The additive can be applied to cement products to reduce corrosion and ingress of harmful chemicals. 110X will work from the inside out, not allowing for deterioration or degradation of the cement due to moisture. 110X is a coating material that exhibits very high abrasion resistance, high chemical resistance, and easy to clean surface properties.
Concrete and masonry
Porous natural stone
Fibre cement sheets
Exposed concrete facades
Concrete drive ways
Pre-cast architectural concrete
Increases durability of cementitious building materials
Easy to mix and use
Excellent wetting and mixing properties
Compatible with other additives
Long term storage stability
Can be easily mixed with other dry additives
Does Not Alter Appearance
The coating material is applied to concrete and cement-based substrates to give an opaque satin-gloss or matt finish. When added, water repellency and durability are improved throughout the mix to provide protection to both the surface and the internal bulk of the material. The amount of hydrophobicity can be increased or decreased based on the amount of product added to the cement. 110X has little to no impact on the cement’s normal strength, compression, hardness, or adhesion characteristics. With this product, a topcoat can be used for increased hydrophobicity, such as a Stone and Porous coating. The shelf life of 6 months when stored between 4-30°C in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area.
